K Recordsからリリースしているワシントン州オリンピアのLo-Fiポップ・バンド、Lakeの新作『The World Is Real』がとても良いです。全曲ソフト＆メローな歌もので、宅録インディー感も程よい粒ぞろいなアルバム。1曲目の “Do You Recall” はBandcampで聴けますが、Stereogumではフリー・ダウンロードも可能です。他には、Steely Danのベースラインを弾き直した “Dog In The Desert” あたりがおすすめ。アルバムは9月17日までPitchfork Advanceでフル・ストリーミング中です。
